Free and compulsory elementary
education for 6-14 years is the fundamental right of every child.
The aim of elementary education is to fulfill the basic learning
needs of all children in an inclusive environment breezing social
and gender gaps with the active participation of the community. The
elementary education is enabling the child to develop skills of
literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
For this the
need of trained teachers are imperative. Teachers can be trained
systematically through a prescribed curriculum which will help them
to guide the student of elementary education for acquiring requisite
knowledge and skills.
With above objective Agragati Primary Teachers Training
Institute was established in 2004 with affiliation of West Bengal
Board of Primary Education by Agragati – a NGO.
Subsequently, to follow uniform curriculum Agragati PTTI applied for
recognition of NCTE during 2006. NCTE has kindly allotted code no.
APE00654. NCTE Delhi has directed Eastern Regional Council of NCTE
Bhubneswar for granting of immediate recognition to Agragati PTTI to
conduct Diploma in Education (D. Ed. ) course vide their
communication dated July 14, 2009.
